All Tucked In

I know this looks a little pathetic...

... especially in the fading evening light.  But I want peaches this year, darn it!  So I've covered up the fully-in-flower peach tree, and am keeping my fingers crossed that tonight's cold temps and potential frost don't completely do in my chances for enjoying some sweet, juicy fruit this summer.  Stay tuned...

They're saying hard freeze for us, but I'm hoping for just a frost at worst. We've got several things covered, too. Our freeze warning goes from 1 AM until 8 AM. It's nearly one now and it's 39 degrees. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us, Kim!

I hope your peach blossoms survived the cold snap. It looks cute all tucked in for the night.

We're suffering up and down temperatures too. One moment it's tee shirt weather, the next there's a bitter cold wind blowing down from Siberia. Covers are going on and off like yo-yos.
